Actress Dimples Romana could not help but reminisce on her days as a young mother to daughter Callie as the latter is set to go to college next year.
Romana shared with fans photos of her and a then 8-year-old Callie bonding by fingerpainting, a time when Romana was still trying to figure out how to help enhance her daughter’s artistic talents.
“Next year anak you’ll be off to college na [crying emoji] where did all the time go?” the doting mother said on Instagram yesterday, June 24.
“Posting this today as I look back to my journey as a young mom who was struggling to come up with ways to nurture Callie’s gifts in arts and design,” Romana added.
Using a variety of colors, the mother-daughter duo fingerpainted a butterly on a white canvass, with the words “dreams come true,” their names, stars and hearts designs, as well as a peace symbol.
Around eight years after their fun art session, Romana revealed that the now 16-year-old Callie will soon be launching a “very special passion project.”
“I can’t wait for you all to see just how far she’s come from mixing colors, finger painting with mom in the sala using whatever materials we could find lang (only),” Romana stressed.
“Proud of you Ate! And to all the moms who are still discovering themselves as parents, don’t you worry, you’ll find your way,” she added. “Have [faith] in the process and let your children be [your] guiding light.”
Callie is Romana’s eldest daughter with husband Boyet Ahmee and is sister to 5-year-old Alonzo. JB
