Dimples Romana expresses admiration for birthday girl Angel Locsin’s kindness: ‘Not once did you make me feel inferior’

On Angel Locsin’s birthday, her dear friend and fellow actress Dimples Romana reaffirmed her admiration for Locsin and expressed how her best friend’s kindness does not choose anyone.
Going down memory lane, Romana showed some snapshots of Locsin that Romana thinks best described the “Darna” star to her and her family. Romana also penned a heartfelt message for the birthday girl via her Instagram account yesterday, April 23.
Locsin marked her 35th birthday in quarantine yesterday with a “surprise” birthday bash from her loved ones.
Romana said that despite the extent of Locsin’s fame, she never felt inferior whenever she was with Locsin.
“Sa totoo, sa pagkakaibigan natin (The truth is in our friendship), I never remember you [as] the [superstar] that you are because not once did you ever make me feel inferior,” she said. “You are always kind to everyone.”
“Hindi ka namimili, Hindi ka nanghuhusga (You never discriminate, you never judge),” Romana added.
The throwback photos Romana selected were the ones showing Locsin carrying Alonzo, Romana’s son. The “Kadenang Ginto” star recalled how Locsin offered to babysit Alonzo back when he was still a baby so that Romana and her husband, Boyet Ahmee, could go out on a date.
While Locsin is constantly seen in public due to her COVID-19 initiative with Romana and their other friends, UniTENTweStandPH, Romana clarified that Locsin never helped people for the sake of prestige and soliciting admiration.
“Ang nakikita nila ngayon ay lahat ng pagtulong mo para sa napakaraming pamilya,” Romana said. “Kung nakita nila lahat ng nakita kong ginawa mo sa iba pang tao, Mas lalo ka pa nilang mamahalin. Pero kasi Ikaw hindi mo iniisip yun eh.”
(They now see all the help you are giving to many families. If they only saw everything I saw you doing for other people, they would love you even more, but you never think of those things.)
“Ang gusto mo lang lagi tutulong ka,” she added. “Ang gusto mo yung Walang nakakaalam.”
(You only want to help and you want it done anonymously.)
Romana wished Locsin would have more time to rest, eat and sleep during her special day. She also hoped that Locsin would create more memories with her fiance, Neil Arce, and her family and friends.

Locsin responded to Romana’s touching message, expressing how grateful she is to have Romana as her friend.
“Mars, between the two of us, you’re [always, always] the bigger person and I’m so grateful for having you in my life,” Locsin said. “Ikaw nga diba ang totoong superwoman (You are the real superwoman).”

Romana has also previously explained why Locsin and the rest of their team in UniTENTweStandPH have been tirelessly updating the public about their efforts on social media.
Because their initiative is fundraising in nature and involves numerous donors, keeping the public informed and staying transparent about their expenses is a part of their responsibility as its organizers, she said. /ra
