Xian Lim congratulates Kim Chiu over ‘Bawal Lumabas’ success: ‘Keep rising, keep loving’
Actor Xian Lim showed his support to reel-and-real-life partner Kim Chiu over the success of her “Bawal Lumabas” song, which the latter recently performed live via the Wish Bus.
Chiu’s song was inspired by her “Bawal Lumabas” statement that became viral during an online protest last month in support of ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal.
“Congrats @chinitaprincess [Chiu]. Bashers can dwell on their own misery and type anonymously throughout their lifetime. Naysayers will never come close to having a good heart like yours,” Lim said via Instagram Stories yesterday, June 8.
“Keep rising. Keep Loving,” the doting boyfriend added.
Chiu’s performance of her song on the Wish Bus got mixed reactions from netizens, with its YouTube video garnering over 205,000 likes and more than 565,000 dislikes since its posting on June 5. It has currently been viewed over 6.3 million times.

“Classmates!!!!! #BawalLumabasMerch OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT this morning!!! [N]ever thought this shirt for a cause will be a success in less than [two] weeks,” Chiu said on Instagram on June 7.
“[M]alaki po ang matutulong nito sa mga pamilyang bawal paring lumabas and donation for mass testing! I will keep you posted on further updates. [A]gain maraming maraming salamat,” she added.
(This will be very helpful to the families who still cannot go out and for the donation going toward the mass testing initiative! I will keep you posted on further updates. Again, thank you very much.)
Chiu’s viral dance video to her said song has recently drawn controversy after others accused her of taking the video along EDSA. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, however, has already accepted Chiu’s explanation that it was filmed at a parking lot, not at the main thoroughfare. JB
