‘Don’t state the obvious’
Remember Veteran Singer (VS) and Seasoned Songstress (SS) with a long-standing feud? The two performers look calm and collected every time their paths cross. After all, “teleserye”-channeling face-slapping, hair-pulling or insult-hurling incidents in public are beyond them.
But when there are no cameras or nosy reporters around, they’re catty as heck.
In one splashy event, for instance, VS was asked by a common friend where SS was. With a twinkle in her eyes, VS quipped, “SS doesn’t really get invited to truly glitzy events like this. She doesn’t belong here. Ikaw talaga—don’t make me state the obvious!”
Ouch!
