Actor-singer JM de Guzman is serenading fans with covers of some hit songs as he stays at home amid the pandemic-induced quarantine.

The actor took to Instagram earlier today, May 30, to post clips of covers of Switchfoot classic “Only Hope” and Daniel Ceasar’s “Best Part.”

As he sang online, De Guzman accompanied himself with a guitar in both covers, which comes shortly after the music video of his new single “Huling Liham” was released earlier this week.

Written by musician couple Moira dela Torre and Jason Marvin, De Guzman’s “Huling Liham” tells the story of a man letting go of his former lover despite still having strong feelings for her.

Other than continuing his music career amid the COVID-19 pandemic, De Guzman has also been helping some of the most affected sectors of society. Earlier this month, for one, he handed out relief goods to persons with disabilities in Montalban, Rizal.

Actress and drummer Yam Concepcion and rock band Mayonnaise, meanwhile, also recently shared a cover of the Foo Fighters hit “Big Me” on the latter’s YouTube channel last Thursday, May 28.  /ra
