Kiray Celis promotes body positivity, hits back at shamers: ‘Di na lang natin iangat ang isa’t isa’
Comedienne Johanna “Kiray” Celis is hitting back at people body-shaming her for flaunting her buttocks in photos and lamented that this is the reason why many people have low self-esteem.
“Pag sexy, kahit magpakita araw araw ng dede.. OKAY LANG? Pag pwet ko, galit kayo? Korni niyo!” Celis posted on Instagram yesterday, May 28.
(Why is it okay for you to see sexy people showing their boobs every day? But when I flaunt my butt, you get angry? You guys are corny!)
“PWET [na lang] nga malaki sakin. Maliit na nga sa HEIGHT saka sa BOOBS.. Dami niyo pang sinasabi! Di nalang natin i-angat ang isa’t isa. Kaya ang daming may kulang sa kumpiyansa sa sarili eh. Kasi imbes na suportahan niyo, lalaitin niyo pa. Kala mo ang peperfect nila!” she added.
(My butt is the only thing big about me. I am short and have small boobs, but you guys still have a lot to say! Why don’t we just support each other? This is why lots of people have low self-esteem. Because instead of supporting them, you insult them. As if you are perfect!)

“Malaki man o malit, maitim man o maputi. Wala kayong pake kung anong ipopost ng bawat isa. Kung confident sila, bakit hindi?” she stresseed.
(Big or small, dark-skinned or white, you guys do not have a say on what others want to post. If they are confident, why stop them?)
“Kung dun sila masaya, bakit hindi? Hindi nila pinopost yun para mabastos sila. Pinopost nila yun kasi proud sila!” she added.
(If it makes them happy, why not? They do not post those photos to get harassed. They post them because they are proud!)
Referring to Kim Chiu’s viral statement, which has been turned into a song, Celis said: “Bawal lumabas! Pero hindi bawal maglabas ng pwet! Oh eto, MORE PWET PA PARA SAINYO!”
(You cannot go outside! But no one said you cannot let your butts out. Here, more butts for you guys!)
This is not the first time Celis has called out body-shamers. She did this back in 2017 when people tried to pick on her because of a beach photo. /ra
