TV host-actress Mariel Rodriguez and actor Robin Padilla did not let the COVID-19 pandemic stop them from marking an important milestone in their second daughter Gabriela’s life as she turned 6 months old this week.
Rodriguez said they were embracing the “new normal” by staying at home and having a video-call party with some of their friends and family, as per her Instagram post yesterday, May 15.
Gabriela got a safari-themed birthday bash courtesy of celebrity event stylist Gideon Hermosa. Among Rodriguez and Padilla’s guests were her fellow “Pinoy Big Brother” hosts, Tony Gonzaga and Bianca Gonzalez accompanied by their kids. Padilla’s daughter, Kylie, was also present.
Rodriguez extended her appreciation to the people behind the party’s success including its party planner and the food and cake provider.
Rodriguez also showed snippets of their “virtual playdate” in the video conferencing app Zoom in a separate post. Gabriela’s guests, as well as her elder sister Isabella, wore matching animal headbands from their respective homes.
“@gabrieladepadilla ‘s zoom party!” Rodriguez said. “But really ate @mariaisabelladepadilla had the most fun hehe (winking emoji). [Kids] were entertained by Moana!”
Rodriguez also penned a special message for her baby girl: “Gabriela, [I] love you very much!!! You and your sister are my biggest blessings!!!” she said. “God is so good to Mommy because He gave me you. There is nothing in the world I wouldn’t do for you.”
Rodriguez gave birth to Gabriela in the United States last November. Before the couple had their first child, Rodriguez suffered from two miscarriages.
Padilla and Rodriguez were married in India back in 2010. /ra
