Winwyn Marquez stands up to being shamed for ‘big’ muscles
Winwyn Marquez clapped back at criticism of her weight after she was told off for having big muscles.
“Tumaba ka, ang lalaki ng mga muscles,” one Instagram user (@si_bebe_ni) commented on the beauty queen’s post on Saturday, April 25. “Maganda ‘yong katawan mo dati ‘yong nanalo ka as [queen].”
(You got fat, your muscles are so big. Your body looked better when you won as queen.)
“Well I like my muscles and if mataba yan for you search mo words na fit and healthy sa Google,” she replied to the body-shaming comment.
(Well I like my muscles and if that’s fat for you search the words fit and healthy on Google.)
“I don’t need to adjust dahil mas gusto mo yung katawan ko dati (because you liked my body better before),” she said, and advised, “Work out ka din (You should also work out) regularly.”
When she announced that she finished a 30-day fitness challenge yesterday, April 26, Marquez declared, “Fat and Thin are not the only words to describe someone. Try adding FIT, STRONG and HEALTHY to your vocabulary.”
