While citizens from all over the world are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, actor and comedian Michael V emphasized that helping others does not always require publicity.

The “Pepito Manaloto” star called for anonymity when contributing to relief efforts via his Instagram post yesterday, April 22.

“NOW is the PERFECT time to HELP out ANONYMOUSLY,” Michael V said. “Feed the people. Not the ego.”

The comedian also used the hashtag #HelpingWithoutPosting.

Actresses Kim Domingo, Ashley Rivera and Lovely Abella agreed with the comedian as well.

“Totoo (truth),” Domingo said.

“Godbless po kuya and buong family mo po (Godbless you brother and your entire family),” Abella told the actor.

Massive relief efforts need to be made public, though, as explained by Angel Locsin who led UniTENTweStandPH. Details of such efforts must be announced, particularly if the effort is of a fundraising nature and involving contributions from others, she pointed out in earlier reports.

Meanwhile, Michael V also did a sketch inspired by Italian Renaissance sculptor-painter Michelangelo’s “The Creation of Adam”, after the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine.

The comedian named his piece “Creation of a Cure” as a way to boost people’s morale during the health crisis. JB
