Seasoned star’s ‘quirks’ irk veteran journo
Her quirks and unpredictable behavior, even to those close to her, can get annoying.
But Vexatious Nut (VN) has mastered the art of “playing the show biz game.” Seasoned Journo (SJ) finally gave up on VN after an eye-opening experience of getting the brush off after SJ moved heaven and earth for a favor VN personally requested.
Shortly after SJ’s good deed, however, VN wouldn’t even take SJ’s calls or answer his text messages. VN did get his messages, SJ insists. In fact, one time, SJ could even overhear VN saying, “Just tell SJ I’m not around.”
So, when the current lockdown in the metropolis started, and VN requested another writer to ask SJ why he wasn’t answering her texts, all SJ could say was, “Sweet-sweetan? Huwag s’yang pabida. VN never called or texted me. But just wait and see, I’m sure VN will remember my number and actually call me again when she needs another favor!”
Really, you can’t teach old dogs new tricks.
