While the supply of blood at blood banks continue to drop amid the ongoing health crisis, actress Angel Locsin and her fiance Neil Arce went to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) to donate theirs.

Locsin noted in her Instagram post yesterday, April 16, that the humanitarian organization is in need of more blood donors. Locsin said that because many donors had to postpone their scheduled blood donation, it is more important now more than ever to donate.

“The need for blood never rests and the supply is rapidly dropping,” Locsin said.

In her post, Locsin included a series of photos from her visit at PRC with Arce. The soon-to-be-wed couple donned their face masks while carrying the fresh bag of their blood donation.

She told people who also want to donate to contact PRC at (+632) 8790-2300 or through the hotline 143.

Locsin recently ended the fundraiser for her hospital tent initiative, UniTENTweStandPH, after receiving over P10.9 million in cash donations. The actress ended the fundraiser after she and her team have collected enough to fund the entire campaign. Despite no longer accepting cash donations, Locsin assured that her team will continue to set up tents for all their beneficiaries.  /ra
