Menggie Cobarrubias’s wife, Gina Jorge Cobarrubias, is now free of coronavirus, but her recovery continues.

Gina, 56, announced that she survived the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Facebook Monday, April 13.

“Praise the Lord! I am now a [COVID-19] survivor. I would like to thank everybody for their prayers, love and support,” she said.

“This is a long and difficult road to recovery. I would be needing more prayer warriors to be able to have the [strength] to fight this disease.”

Her son Gino told INQUIRER.net today, April 16, that his mom has tested negative twice for coronavirus, but is still fighting to improve her health after she first had pneumonia symptoms.

“She’s getting better but she still isn’t at 100%. She feels like it might take a long while for her to get there,” he said.

After finding out her husband’s coronavirus test results last March 30, Gina submitted to voluntary confinement. She had a cough and a sore throat before being hospitalized.
