Christopher de Leon recovers from COVID-19, tests negative for disease

Veteran actor Christopher de Leon has tested negative for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) after learning he had the illness in March.
Sandy Andolong, De Leon’s wife, posted the negative results on her Instagram Stories yesterday, April 13.

“At last the long wait is over! All praise [and] glory to God!” she said. According to the results, the actor took the COVID-19 test on April 7.
De Leon, 63, confirmed last March 17 that he had tested positive for the disease. He was confined at The Medical City in Pasig and was discharged about a week later.
The acclaimed actor thanked the medical staff who helped in his recovery from the infectious disease in a video message shared on “Kapuso Showbiz News” on GMA last Saturday, April 11.
He said, “Nagpapasalamat ako sa mga frontliners, sa lahat na pinapakita n’yong tapang, dedication sa inyong sinumpahan to save lives. Sa inyong kabayanihan, maraming salamat po. Lahat ng mga doktor, all the doctors, nurses, staff at mga nagdidisinfect ng mga areas, salamat po.”
(I want to thank the frontliners, to all who showed bravery and dedication to your oath to save lives. For your heroism, thank you. To all the doctors, nurses and staff who disinfected areas, thank you.)
“When I was at the hospital in Medical City, nakita ko ang inyong (I saw your) dedication, and kindness, love, compassion sa akin at siyempre din sa iba (to me and of course to others). Maraming salamat po sa inyo (Thank you so much to you all).” /ra
