Ben&Ben revealed that they are working on their first international single, days after expressing they want to share their music with a global audience.

“[We] wrote ANOTHER new song for you,” the band said on Twitter last Saturday, April 11. “[It] is the band’s most favorite so far.”

The group added that the new tune is “quite sad but hopeful” and centers on what people are feeling during the ongoing quarantine brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“[It] will be our first international single,” they added.

The announcement follows the release of a draft version of another song they wrote during the quarantine titled “Nakikinig Ka Ba Sa Akin?”.

Meanwhile, the nine-piece folk-pop band also reached a new milestone when they rose to the 29th spot on the international music chart Billboard Social 50.

Ben&Ben had ranked higher than American artists such as Cardi B and Doja Cat at the time. Thereafter, they expressed their desire to “share [their] music to a global audience one day.”

The band previously held an online concert called “Puhon” on March 27 to aid COVID-19 relief efforts. Following the event, they have helped raise over P4.2 million, as of this writing. The donations will be used to provide PPE, testing kits and relief goods for the frontliners combating the spread of COVID-19. JB
