The British singer-songwriter gave the first taste of her new recorded-in-quarantine album, “How I’m Feeling Now”.

“Forever” was written within the last two days by Charli and co-executive produced with the help of her longtime collaborators A. G. Cook and BJ Burton.

“How I’m Feeling Now” is set for release on May 15, although Charli XCX announced earlier this April that she will make the entire process collaborative with her fans.

“I’m going to keep the entire process super open so that anybody who wants to watch can. I’ll be posting demos, I’ll be posting a capellas, text conversations with any collaborators. I’ll be filming myself in the studio, I’ll be doing Zoom conferences to ask fans or anyone watching for opinions or ideas. I’m going to set up an email address so that fans or anyone can send me beats or references,” she said in an announcement video.

Ahead of the release of “Forever”, Charli XCX asked her fans to choose one of three photographs she took at home for the single’s cover art.

The vocalist later invited artists Seth Bogart, Caroline Polachek and Regards Coupables to create their own version of the photograph, noting in a statement that she “like[s] the idea that the visual language for this project can be interpreted by however someone feels towards the music. The music and the emotions that are generated guide the creative output and anything is possible.”

In addition to working on “How I’m Feeling Now”, Charli XCX is hosting her daily “Self-Isolation IG Livestream” alongside various guests to “spark conversation, share insight, or simply entertain fans across the world who are currently practicing social distancing.”

The pop powerhouse recently announced the return of her Beats 1 Radio show, “The Candy Shop” for a new season.

“Inside The Candy Shop” will find Charli XCX sharing “How I’m Feeling Now” demos and playing some of her favorite songs alongside various guests. Polachek will join the British vocalist in the first episode of “Inside The Candy Shop”, which will air at a yet-unknown date. RGA
