American singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles disclosed that she had a “very mild” case of COVID-19, but has since recovered from the disease.

The “Love Song” singer spoke candidly about her experience via her Instagram Stories yesterday, April 2. Bareilles was walking from a therapy session when she broke the news to her fans.

“I had it, just so you know, and fully recovered, just so you know…,” she said. “I am just thinking about all the people who are walking through this really tricky time and sending a lot of love.”

Bareilles also expressed that she is “really grateful for every easy breath and every day” that she still gets to be “walking around.”

Following the announcement, the singer thanked her fans for their support through her Instagram Stories today, April 3.

“Thank you all for the concern,” she said. “I had a VERY MILD case of Covid and am counting my blessing for that… I am totally fine and fully recovered.”

Aside from a “couple of rough days,” Bareilles assured fans that she was okay. The singer accompanied the message with a clip of her dancing to Earth, Wind & Fire’s disco song “September.”
