Who PH celebs would love to be quarantined with (Conclusion)
(Conclusion)
For people on the go, quarantine becomes quaran-whine. Instead of complaining, we should use this time to reset our priorities, rekindle ties and reconnect with God so it will turn into a quaran-win.
For some GV (good vibes) to combat our CV (coronavirus) fears, imagine if we could choose who to be quarantined with. I cornered some celebs about it. As pour moi, I wish I would be cocooned with Hyun Bin and pretend to be a domesticated wife for some #UlirangMaybahayFeels.
During these tough times, let’s try to focus on the purpose behind the pain. Some lessons have to be learned the hard way. When this nightmare is over, may we realize that the worst things sometimes turn out to be for the better, après tout. But for now, “quarantiners,” it’s time to forget about time and savor “la dolce far niente” (the sweetness of doing nothing).
JOEL TORRE: My choice is Vico Sotto. Will ask him, “Who is your adviser and what are the pieces of advice he/she gave you?” We would have a discourse on the future of Philippine politics and what he would do as a representative of his generation being an inspiration to the young and not-so-young. I will ask what his thoughts are on how it is to be a humanist.
ARA MINA: I would not let this chance pass to be with my idol, Oprah Winfrey. I grew up watching her show, so I’m aware of her good deeds. I will ask her, “What is your biggest fear in life and how do you see yourself overcoming that fear?” That will be a significant lesson for me.

I will also ask her, What was the best advice you gave?” And if there is one thing she would like to do that she hasn’t done yet, what is it? I will savor every moment learning from her.

I want to imbibe his good vibes. I would ask him, “What is the best thing about being an American who’s married to a Filipina? What can we collaborate on for people to enjoy while on quarantine?”
And since he’s also a man of wisdom and not just all for laughs, I will ask for his “real talk” opinion about what’s happening to the world. And we would just laugh and create jokes and chill over beers.
JOYCE PRING: I’d love to be quarantined with my favorite author, CS Lewis. Some of the things I would ask are: What books do you recommend to read while we’re in quarantine? How did you manage to become fluent in six languages [including Latin]? What’s your take on the coronavirus? How should we deal with it, so we may thrive and overcome?
We will read his favorite books and make a vlog to encourage and enlighten people. We’d call it the “Corona-cles of Narnia.”
CESAR MONTANO: I want to be quarantined with Quentin Quarantino. Hehe. Seriously, I’ll choose it to be with three people: Gal Gadot, Tiger Woods and Ravi Zacharias at Dakak Golf Resort in Dapitan, Zamboanga del Norte. Why? Because it has a beautiful golf course. Every morning six days a week, the three of us will have a golf clinic with Mr. Woods. After that, at the breakfast (of course with social distancing), we’ll have a two-hour bible study, followed by a Q&A facilitated by Mr. Zacharias.
The entire afternoon would be spent for ourselves. We can go to the beach with Ms Gadot. In the evening after dinner, Gal and I can talk about acting or plan to make a movie about this pandemic and produce it ourselves. Of course, Mr. Woods and Mr. Zacharias are welcome to be part of it, especially the brainstorming.
