Gretchen Ho expressed her gratitude to restaurant employees who still report to work amid the enhanced community quarantine imposed due to the spread of COVID-19 in the Philippines.
The TV host and volleyball star honored the workers by posting a photo of her with one of them on her Instagram page last Sunday, March 22.
“Just got our family’s quarantine pass so I decided to get some food before coming home,” she explained.
Ho, who picked up her order from a drive-thru window at a McDonald’s branch, also pointed out how the establishment takes precautions against the disease.
“They pass on the change [and] food via trays. No contact,” she noted. “Everybody has a mask too.”
Ho also wore a mask as she received her food, and the employee assisting her was wearing plastic gloves as well. She then thanked all of the food servers and delivery drivers who are still on duty amid the pandemic.
“I know this is a risk for you guys, at round-the-clock po ang serbisyo ninyo,” she added. “Salamat sa pagpapagaan ng buhay ng lahat.”
(I know this is a risk for you guys since your service is round-the-clock. Thank you for making everybody’s lives easier.)
