Following the postponement of Ian Veneracion and Ogie Alcasid’s “KilaboTitos” concert,  the former’s live shows in Australia have also been put on hold as the world is gripped by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Veneracion’s Melbourne and Sydney shows, titled “Date Night with Ian Veneracion”, will be moved to a later date as per the singer’s announcement on Instagram yesterday, March 18.

“This is also in compliance with the government’s social distancing directive and the cancellation of mass gatherings which unfortunately includes our concerts,” the announcement read.

Veneracion’s concerts are just some of the long list of postponed shows both in the Philippines and worldwide, to prevent the further spread of the novel coronavirus.

All government agencies, departments and offices have been ordered by Malacañang to implement “stringent social distancing measures” over Luzon, as per the “enhanced community quarantine” directive last March 16. Under the memorandum, mass gatherings are temporarily prohibited, which include concerts and other live shows.

All “Date Night with Ian Veneracion” ticket holders are advised to hold on to their tickets as these can still be used for the rescheduled concert, of which the date is yet to be set. JB
