Claudine Barretto honors Rico Yan on his birthday: ‘You’re loved and remembered’
Claudine Barretto had a short yet heartfelt message for her late ex-boyfriend, Rico Yan, on what would have been his 45th birthday last Saturday, March 14.
She wished him a happy birthday in heaven and told him that he is “still [loved and remembered],” as seen on her Instagram page on the same day. Barretto also included an old photo of the two of them.

Barretto and Yan became love team partners in the late 1990s, and their time as an on-screen couple eventually led them to become real-life partners. The two starred in hit movies such as “Got 2 Believe”, “Flames: The Movie” and “Dahil Mahal na Mahal Kita”.
While it has been years since Yan’s passing, Barretto remains sentimental over him. She cried when she visited his grave last October following the death of her father Miguel who was 82 years old.
“Rico, pls help me. (sic) take care of Daddy,” she said in her Instagram post at the time.
