The social media account and page of hip-hop star Loonie (real name: Marlon Peroramas) have finally been retrieved after being hacked by unknown cybercriminals.
They have now secured and regained access to Loonie’s official Facebook page and personal account, the rapper’s sister and manager Idyll Liza Peroramas revealed on the social media platform yesterday, March 4.
“Shameless hacking incident solved! We’ve finally retrieved the page — Loonie and his personal account — Marlon Loonie Peroramas,” she said.
“Loonie has only one Facebook Page, one Facebook Account, one Twitter account, and one Instagram account,” the rapper’s sister clarified.
Peroramas did not disclose if they have already found out the identity and intentions of the hacker. She also noted that they will be going after fake accounts posing as Loonie next.
The rapper had also acknowledged that numerous fake accounts have been popping up during the time he was in jail.
“Marami na din palang fake accounts ko ang nagsulputan mula nung nawala ako saglit,” Loonie said via Twitter on Feb. 21. “Ok lang yan basta wag kayong manloloko o manlilinlang ng kapwa n’yo gamit ang pangalan ko.”
(Lots of fake accounts apparently popped up while I was away. That is ok, as long as you do not take advantage of others using my name.)
“Alam naman ng mga tunay kung nasaan ang tunay (The real ones know who is real),” he added.
