Marcelito Pomoy channeled Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson for his final performance on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions”.

His performance wowed the audience and judges Heidi Klum, Alesha Dixon and Howie Mandel, who all gave him a standing ovation.
“I know this is the third time that you’ve performed in front of us but it just never gets old,” Klum said.

However, Cowell added that if it was his choice, he “would have done something less predictable.” Dixon immediately protested and asked her fellow judge: “How is that predictable?”
Cowell explained that Pomoy’s song choices were popular but “very safe.” He said that if Pomoy “had done something out of his comfort zone,” it could have given him “another moment.”
Despite Cowell’s comment on his performance, Pomoy previously revealed that the song was chosen by the show’s staff and music arrangers. He confirmed this through a video on his YouTube page on Feb. 8.
The competition’s champion will be named tomorrow when the finale’s full episode officially airs on the American TV network NBC. Prior to joining “America’s Got Talent: The Champions”, Pomoy was the grand winner of “Pilipinas Got Talent” in 2011. JB
