James Reid and Nancy McDonie have been getting ready for their first series together, “The Soulmate Project,” starting with a look test of their characters.

Production house Project 8 introduced Binna and Jayson, to be played by McDonie and Reid respectively, in an Instagram post Monday, Feb. 3.

The K-pop star looked beautiful in an off-shoulder pink dress, while Reid was dashing in a tux.

Another look test showed them in more casual outfits while reading their scripts—the Momoland singer in pink silk pajamas and Reid in basketball shorts and sliders.

The show is written and directed by Antoinette Jadaone, who has worked with Reid in “On the Wings of Love” and “Never Not Love You.”

McDonie said in a Jan. 27 ABS-CBN interview that she had been attending workshops for the series. She teased too that shooting will start in February and be done in the Philippines and Korea.

The series will run for 13 episodes, which will have been filmed when it premieres, Jadaone said.  /ra
