LOOK: Chito Miranda teases new music with Kamikazee

Could Parokya ni Edgar and Kamikazee be teaming up once again? Fans ought to watch out as Chito Miranda teased to the rock bands’ fans that there is a new project brewing.

The Parokya ni Edgar frontman announced the recording with Kamikazee on Instagram last Monday, Feb. 3.

“Recording kasama ng Kamikaze [emoji] sobrang excited kami na marinig nyo yung ginawa namin [emoji],” Miranda said. (Recording with Kamikazee. We are so excited for you guys to hear what we made.)

The vocalist’s announcement came with a photo of him and Kamikazee’s members, including Kamikazee frontman Jay Contreras.

Kamikazee’s official Instagram account likewise posted the same photo yesterday, Feb. 4, particularly a black and white version of it, with the caption: “Masaya [lang] talaga pag nagkakasama. (emoji) abangan.” (It is just fun when we are together. Stay tuned.)

The two bands, who consider each other as “sister bands,” have previously teamed up way back in 2005 for the hit song “The Ordertaker”, a parody of heavy metal band System of a Down’s songs “Chop Suey” and “Toxicity”.

The title of the recording project is still undisclosed. The two bands have also previously covered APO Hiking Society’s “American Junk” for “Kami nAPO Muna Ulit”, a tribute album to the 1970s Filipino group. JB
