‘Huling Sayaw’: Kamikazee holds last bar gig
After 15 years of musical journey, once-popular Filipino rock band Kamikazee held its last bar gig on Monday night at 12 Monkeys Music Hall & Pub in Makati City.
In a Facebook post, rock band Parokya Ni Edgar shared a photo of its frontman Chito Miranda hugging Kamikazee vocalist Jay Contreras, who appeared to be gripped with sadness.
Parokya Ni Edgar members have always considered, based in past interviews, Kamikazee as their “sister band.”
Kamikazee said it will hold a final show in December, but the details are yet to be announced.
“Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat, pasensya na sa mga hindi nakapasok, bawi kami sa December! Mahal namin kayo!” the band said on Twitter.
(Thank you all. Apologies to those who weren’t able to come in. We’ll make it up to you in December. We love you all.)
