While the world grapples with the spread of the novel coronavirus, a new drama series from ABS-CBN imagines a worst-case scenario of a viral outbreak in the country.
In the trailer of teleserye “24/7” released on Friday, Jan. 31, scenes of panic at a hospital flash, from medical staff overwhelmed with sick patients to protestors demanding the cure be released.
Among those caught in the chaos is Julia Montes’s character who plays the role of a security agent at the hospital. When her own child falls ill, she decides to take drastic measures.
The trailer teases drama and action — already, Montes shows off some of her fighting skills. The actress underwent training for arnis and gun firing for the show, as per Dreamscape Entertainment’s Instagram on Jan. 23.
“24/7” is set to premiere this February. The series also stars Arjo Atayde, Edu Manzano, Joem Bascon, Pen Medina, Meryll Soriano, Denise Laurel, JC Santos and Melissa Ricks. JB
