Phil Younghusband and his wife Margaret Hall revealed that they will soon be welcoming a baby boy into their family, weeks after they announced they were expecting a child.
The couple found out about their future child’s gender during a party at Shangri-la at the Fort in Taguig City last Wednesday, Jan. 29. Their event planner, Exquisite Events, posted the occasion’s invite on its Instagram page yesterday, Feb. 1.
The guests were asked to come in certain colors depending on their guess of the baby’s gender: pink for a girl, blue for a boy and white if they were unsure.
During the party, the big question was answered through a football-themed activity. The event planner uploaded a clip of the reveal in a separate post on Jan. 30.
Younghusband and Hall were positioned behind a pink and blue football, respectively. They then kicked the balls into two separate goals, which led to blue confetti falling in front of them.
Days after the event, Younghusband also announced their baby’s gender on his own Instagram page on Jan. 31.
“IT’S A BOY!” the retired athlete said. “What a wonderful evening it was discovering the gender of Baby Younghusband with family and friends.”
“The party brought more excitement to our journey of becoming parents,” Younghusband added.
The former football player accompanied his post with photos of him and Hall holding pillows with the words “Baby Younghusband.” He also showed a picture of him and his wife kissing as he held the blue football.
Meanwhile, Hall described the party as a “beautiful occasion,” as seen on her Instagram page on the same day. She also expressed her gratitude for sharing the reveal with their loved ones in the Philippines.
The couple first announced that they were expecting their first child last December. The two got married in Canterbury, United Kingdom, July 2019, after being engaged for two years. JB
