Heart Evangelista reunited with Kevin Kwan, author of “Crazy Rich Asians,” in Paris, more than a year after they first worked together.
“Thank you for the lovely catch up session dear, @kevinkwanbooks,” the artist said in her Instagram post last Monday, Jan. 27.
The two stayed true to their knack for fashion when they caught up with each other in the City of Love. Evangelista looked elegant in a long-sleeved white dress that ended below her knees, which she paired with a dark-blue bag. Meanwhile, Kwan was dapper in an all-black ensemble.
As for Kwan, he said that “[it] wouldn’t be Paris without a proper catch up with @iamhearte,” as seen on his own Instagram page.
Evangelista and Kwan became good friends while they were collaborating on a “Crazy Rich Asians” feature for the fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar in August 2018. The author dubbed the artist as a real-life “Crazy Rich Asian” alongside three other Asian fashion icons in the piece for the publication.
Their friendship later spurred rumors that Evangelista would be starring in the film adaptation of Kwan’s sequel to “Crazy Rich Asians,” which was made into a movie in 2018. However, Evangelista finally shut down the speculations when she clarified that she had no involvement in the project.
More than a year after their first project together, Kwan wrote the foreword of Evangelista’s latest style book “Styled With Heart.” /ra
