Rufa Mae Quinto, family stranded in Hong Kong airport due to Taal eruption
Comedian Rufa Mae Quinto and her family got stranded at an airport in Hong Kong after their flight was canceled due to the eruption of Taal Volcano in Batangas yesterday.
Quinto narrated that the scene in the airport was chaotic and they had to wait for a long time, as per her post on her Instagram account, today, Jan. 13. Quinto also prayed for the country’s safety as she hopes no one was harmed by the eruption.
Quinto said that while waiting at the airport, she was not feeling well and was experiencing hunger. The actress also stated that she was unsure about when she and her family could come home.
“Kaya ako , simple na lang , ang important safe kaming family , kahit anong pag daanan,” she said. “[B]asta niyakap ko Anak ko … sabi ko basta kasama ko sya [at] healthy kami.”
(That is why for me, the most important thing is that my family is safe, no matter what we go through. I hugged my daughter and told her as long as I am with her and we are healthy [we are okay].)
