How Aga, Pokwang and Yeng plan to celebrate Christmas 2019

For the past 12 years, Aga Muhlach, his wife Charlene Gonzales, and their twins Andres and Atasha have been spending the holiday season in the United States.
But since he has an entry in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), Aga said his family will be celebrating Christmas and New Year’s Day in the Philippines.
“For the past decade or so, we went out of the country, from November to February. So this year will be nice,” the actor said adding that his children were the most excited about this break in routine.
“They’re 18 now, so they have their own activities. They’re excited—probably not because of us—but because they will get to celebrate with their friends,” he explained. “They haven’t had that chance for so long. But we don’t mind. My wife and I are always supportive of them.”
“Christmas is going to be nice,” added the “Miracle in Cell No. 7” actor. “I will be surrounded by fans, all the biggest stars.”
POKWANG
Just like every year, Pokwang will be spending most of her time “in the kitchen” this Christmas.
“I’m always hands-on when it comes to cooking, which is one of my passions. I whip up the salads, main course, whatever! I make it a point to make hearty meals for my family,” the comedienne related. “Of course, we will be hearing Mass together, and exchange gifts afterwards.”
New Year’s Eve, meanwhile, is a more riotous celebration. “We have programs! Sometimes, we even do minipageants,” she said. “Pak!”
YENG CONSTANTINO
Singer-songwriter Yeng Constantino has blocked off her entire December to promote her movie, “Write About Love.”
“We’re not as big as the other production outfits, so we really have to put in the effort. We have to give it our 200 percent, because everyone else is giving his or her best,” she pointed out.
The celebration, she said, will have to wait until the big day. “Our friends asked us to join them in their trip to Thailand. Then, we’ll be returning immediately to check up on work. So, things are quite hectic!”
For 2020, Yeng is wishing for reinvigorated creativity. “I hope I could come up with fresh and different concepts for my music this coming year. I want it to be a year of creativity, of art,” she related. “I also hope to establish my online music channel and do another concert.” “And fingers crossed,” Yeng added, “I’m hoping to produce a film—a musical film dedicated to the local industry.” —ALLAN POLICARPIO INQ
