The two met in 2016 when the “La La Land” star hosted the American late-night TV variety show “Saturday Night Live”. McCary is a segment director and writer for the said program. However, they were only romantically linked in 2017.

Despite being low-key about their relationship on social media, the couple has since been spotted at various events together. One of the notable events they attended together was the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards in January when Stone was nominated for her roles in “The Favourite” and the Netflix series “Maniac”.

Prior to dating McCary, Stone was in a relationship with fellow award-winning actor Andrew Garfield. The two parted ways in 2015 after almost four years of dating. JB
