Sam Pinto confirms engagement with Anthony Semerad

MANILA, Philippines — Actress Sam Pinto has finally confirmed her engagement with PBA player Anthony Semerad.

Pinto recently shared how Semerad proposed to her last August 2019 during their trip to Australia, as reported by entertainment website PEP.ph Thursday.

The actress recalled riding a limousine from their hotel then a helicopter to go around Australia’s Gold Coast.

“And then after that, sabi niya, ‘Wait, meron pa, meron pa!’ In the same dock, sa dulo naman, may gondola ride pa,” Pinto said, as quoted by the report.

(After that, he said ‘Wait, there’s more!’ At the end of the same dock, there was a gondola ride.)

“Tapos nung nilabas na [iyong ring], umiyak na ako. Ang dami pa niya sinasabi, pero wala, hindi ko na naririnig nung nakita ko,” she added.

(When he brought out the ring, I cried. He was saying a lot of things but I couldn’t hear anything when I saw it.)

In June this year, rumors about the couple’s engagement surfaced Pinto clarified they were not yet engaged at the time.

Semerad is a Filipino-Czech who grew up in Australia. He plays for basketball team Blackwater Elite.
