Actress Agot Isidro called out Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa for his unsolicited advice to Vice President Leni Robredo on how to do her job as the new drug czar.

Isidro had to give a “reminder” to Dela Rosa that Robredo is a higher ranking official than him, and that the senator should therefore respect the VP, in her Twitter post today, Nov. 12.

“Reminder Mr. Dela Rosa: VP > Senator. Konting respeto sa pananalita (Show some respect when speaking [to her]),” she said.

Isidro’s tweet referred to an Inquirer report of Dela Rosa’s unsolicited advice to Robredo: “Kung ano meron dyan, gamitin mo na. Huwag ka na munang maghanap ng kung ano-ano pang iba pondo dyan.”

(Just make do with what resources you have. Do not ask for other funds.)

Robredo, the newly appointed co-chairperson of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD), was quoted over the weekend as saying that the inter-agency’s P15 million fund is not enough.

Robredo has been at the helm of the government’s war on drugs for six days now, as of writing. She accepted President Rodrigo Duterte’s offer to be ICAD’s co-chairperson only last Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Isidro, a staunch critic of the administration, earlier advised Robredo through Twitter to not accept the post because Duterte is “the one who messed up.”

Besides Dela Rosa, House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano has also criticized Robredo’s being ICAD’s co-chairperson, saying the VP is “all talk.” Senate Minority leader Franklin Drilon, however, called Cayetano out for his “uncalled for” remark. JB
