MANILA, Philippines — If actress Agot Isidro were Vice President Leni Robredo, she would not bother with President Duterte’s offer to be the anti-illegal drugs czar, since it is doubtful if the administration will let her succeed, anyway.

Isidro took to social media to assail the offer, pointing out it was not Robredo who promised to end the drug problem in the country.

“Kung ako si VP Leni, di ko yan papatulan. Sasabihin ko lang… Ikaw ang nangako. Ikaw ang nagkalat. Ikaw ang maglinis (If I were VP Leni, I wouldn’t  entertain the offer. You’re the one who made a promise. You’re the one who messed up. You should  clean it up),” Agot stressed  Tuesday in a Twitter post.

“Because in all honesty, do you think they will let her succeed?” Isidro added.

Isidro‘s comment came after Duterte said he is willing yield to Robredo his power to enforce laws for six months to see if she can curb the country’s illegal drugs problem.

Robredo earlier called for a reassessment of the administration’s war on drugs, saying it should be treated as a health issue rather than a problem in criminal justice. /gsg
