Actor and host Luis Manzano appears to be already possessed with wit and wisdom even when he was still a child, back in the days when he was still popularly referred to as “Lucky,” after the nickname his mom Vilma Santos publicly addressed him with. His wise words can be seen in what looks like an entry in an old grade seven school yearbook, which he shared in Instagram yesterday, Nov. 2.

His yearbook note spoke about how “life and nature” complement each other. But being the comedian that he is, he poked fun at his own childhood musings.

“Life and nature are two things needed in our everyday life. Life needs nature; while nature also needs life. It is like a cycle that happens everyday, maybe we didn’t notice it, but it happens all day and night,” the yearbook note of Manzano stated.

“Ano pinagsasasabi ko dyan?!?!? HAAHHAHAHAHAHAHA bangag ba ako nun??? AHAHAHAHHAHA nakanguya ata ako ng maduming tsinelas. Pero sabagay, pwede naman simulan sa ‘a wise philosopher once said…,'” the actor now laughingly said.

(What was I saying? [Laughs] Was I high at the time? I must have chewed on dirty slippers. But in fairness, the quote could start with “a wise philosopher once said…”)

Manzano confirmed that the note was from his grade seven yearbook, after one Instagram user @litamay81 asked him if it was.

Other celebrities also found the Manzano yearbook note hilarious. Host Bianca Gonzales had a good laugh as she said, “Hindi ko kinaya.” (I could not take it.)

Manzano then suggested to Gonzales to feature his post in her vlog because it is “too deep.” Gonzales then segued and asked Manzano if he can offer her some advice for her “Paano Ba ‘To” vlog series. Manzano then joked, asking if the advice would be “about life and nature,” in reference to his childhood note.

Actress Nikki Gil meanwhile poked fun at the yearbook’s labeling of Luis as a member of the basketball team during intramurals alone, and not the varsity.

“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA gusto ko yung naka parenthesis yung (intrams)!!! Nilinaw talaga nila na hindi varsity HAHAHAHAHAHA (I like how they enclosed in parenthesis the word intrams! They emphasized how you were not part of the varsity),” Gil said.

Actress Jessy Mendiola, Manzano’s girlfriend, meanwhile just commented with a bunch of laughing emoji at his words. JB
