What Sarah thinks of John Lloyd’s comeback
Sarah Geronimo is not the type who would sit on her laurels. So she stepped out of her comfort zone to make a brave move in her latest movie, “Unforgettable,” the Viva Films production that opens on Oct. 23.
The dog movie, conceptualized and codirected by Jun Lana and Perci Intalan, does not follow any traditional box-office formula. But Sarah believes in the project because she loves dogs. Her canine costar in it is Milo, the Jack Russell Terrier with viral videos.
As Perci puts it: “Hats off to Sarah for using her star power to prove two things: That a love story doesn’t always have to be about a boy and a girl, and that Filipina actresses can stand on their own, even without a leading man.”
The movie shows that special human-animal bond, compassion for others and the willingness to go the extra mile for our family. It’s a celebration of how one kind of love can lead to another.
Sarah and Milo’s colorful journey will touch your heart in ways that you never thought were possible. It’s one dog movie that’s not “all bark and no bite.”

Article continues after this advertisementIs it easier to have a dog than a human as a costar? I wouldn’t say easier. It’s just more exciting and fun since I really love dogs. I looked forward to every shooting day. Dogs are not that hard to please and get along with. I’m lucky because Milo is well-trained, so filming was a breeze.
What’s your fave scene and line in the movie? I don’t want to preempt anything, so I would rather not reveal my fave scene. My favorite line is when my lola in the movie tells me to be kind because it comes back a hundredfold.
Out of all the unforgettable moments in your life, what stands out in your memory? My childhood days, when life was just about simple joys and centered on our family. Those were the happiest times of my life, when all I did was laugh and play.
What are the new things you learned about dogs while working with Milo? If we are sensitive to people’s feelings, we must be extra sensitive to dogs. Since dogs can’t talk, we have to exert more effort to understand them.
What’s your reaction to John Lloyd’s show biz comeback? He really has a passion to make relevant films, so I’m very happy to see that he now has the liberty to choose projects that he really wants to do.
If your life story would be made into a movie, what would the title be? That’s something I still have to think about. Besides, I still have a long way to go. My life is still unfolding, so it’s hard to come up with an appropriate title just yet.
