Lisa Macuja-Elizalde and her fond Star City memories
MANILA, Philippines – On her 55th birth anniversary, prima ballerina Lisa Macuja-Elizalde reminisced about her Star City memories a day after the amusement park was destroyed by fire.
“19 years ago, Fred gave me an 850 seater theater named Star in the middle of his amusement park named Star City,” Macuja – Elizalde said in an Instagram post on Thursday.
“Fred” is the prima ballerina’s husband, Fred J. Elizalde, the owner of Star Parks Corp. which operates Star City.
“Two birthdays later he gave me Aliw Theater. This time the arena-like theater could sit 2,500!” she added.
And despite almost losing “almost everything” due to the fire, Macuja-Elizalde still expressed her gratitude to the public for remembering the “glorious years of the park complex that brought so much joy to me, my family, my company and our community!”
