Expected for Friday, Oct. 11, “El Camino” will follow the movements of Jesse Pinkman after the terrible events of the “Breaking Bad” series finale in 2013.
The official trailer released by Netflix this Tuesday, Sept. 24, shows a meeting between the former drug trafficker on the path to recovery and a mysterious figure.
“El Camino” picks up where we left Jesse Pinkman at the end of the fifth and final season. On the run following the death of his partner Walter White, alias Heisenberg, Jesse is still fighting for his life.
The former drug trafficker finds himself alone as he faces the future while still being haunted by the past. However, it is in acceptance of that that he may be able to find some kind of redemption and attempt to heal his wounds. Will he seek his own vengeance?
Aaron Paul is not the only actor coming back for the next chapter of the now-legendary series. Series creator Vince Gilligan has again stepped behind the camera to direct the feature-length film, for which he also wrote the screenplay. Jonathan Banks, who played Mike Ehrmantraut in the series, has been cast alongside Charles Baker and Matt Jones, who will reprise their roles as Skinny Pete and Branon “Badger” Mayhew, respectively.
As for the incredible Bryan Cranston, who played the unforgettable Heisenberg, no indications have been made as to whether he will be making an appearance in the new installment. JB
