Actress Diana Zubiri flew to Jordan recently with husband Filipino-Australian businessman-model Andy Smith to enjoy the country’s iconic sandy scenes.
The couple could not help but share a kiss while the sunset was behind them in Wadi Rum, as seen in the actress’ Instagram post yesterday, Aug. 31.
“Jordan sunset is love @thisisandysmith,” Zubiri said.
Wadi Rum is a valley within a sandstone and granite lanscape. It is a popular ecotourism spot in Jordan, featuring different rock formations.
Zubiri showed her quirky side, striking a pose that made it appear as if she was holding the sun in her hand. She shared the moment on her Instagram Stories yesterday.
“Nandito na ulit ang brilyante ng lupa @direkmark,” the actress joked.

She was referring to her character in the 2005 fantasy series “Encantadia”. Zubiri portrayed Dayana, the deity responsible for the jewel of the earth. Mark Reyes directed the TV series.
Smith went along with Zubiri’s joke and did the same pose by the sunset. The actress jested, saying that she will let her husband “borrow” the jewel.
Of course, no trip is complete without tasting the cuisine of the place one is visiting. For Zubiri and Smith, they did not miss the chance to try food prepared by the locals of Jordan.
Their food was cooked underground, covered by the desert’s sand. After a certain time, two men pushed the sand aside and pulled out three trays of cooked meat from the ground, as seen in Zubiri’s Instagram Stories yesterday.

The couple also visited the famous archaeological city Petra. The place is well-known for the tombs and temples carved into its pink sandstone cliffs.
Zubiri did not miss the opportunity for a photo with one of the Greek-inspired temples in the city. She shared the photo on her Instagram Stories yesterday.

Smith later revealed that it is his first time to visit Jordan, as per his Instagram post yesterday.
He recounted their experience of “incredible sight seeing, taking 4×4’s and driving through the sands, then eating food cooked underground, dancing around the fire to local music and moves.”
Smith summed up their trip as a “total new experience.”
Zubiri and Smith married in 2015 and have a daughter, 2-year-old Aliyah Rose. JB
