Almost a month after returning to the Philippines, Liza Soberano returns to school to continue her studies.
“What I like most about being a student is the joy of discovering new things and appreciating what the world has to offer,” she said in her Instagram post yesterday, Aug. 19.
Soberano is currently pursuing a degree in psychology at Southville International School and Colleges. She enrolled in the school in June 2018.
Aside from Soberano, fellow actress Jodi Sta. Maria is also pursuing a degree in psychology at the same institution. The two multi-awarded artists had the chance to share their learning experiences with each other, as seen in the school’s Facebook page yesterday.
“Future Psychologists on board! Spotted Liza Soberano and Jodi Sta. Maria sharing the joy of learning they get to experience at Southville,” the post’s caption read. “Student mode on!”
On top of continuing her education, Soberano is also set to work on an upcoming project with her on-screen and real-life partner Enrique Gil this September.
Soberano returned to the Philippines last July, after spending almost three months in the United States for a series of surgeries for her injured finger.
She fractured her right index finger while filming for the fantasy series “Bagani” last year. The injury also led her to withdraw from the upcoming “Darna” production, where she was set to play the titular role. /ra
