Cha Eun-woo, one of Korea’s top heartthrobs who debuted as part of the pop boy band Astro, is set to embark on his first solo “fanmeet” tour in Asia, and make a stop in Manila on Oct. 26 at the New Frontier Theater, according to the local promoter Wilbros Live.

The show’s title, “Just One 10 Minute,” is inspired by the live broadcasts the 22-year-old singer-actor does—via the video streaming service V Live—to get in touch with his fans. (For tickets, call 9115555.)

FEATURED STORIES

Known for his boyish good looks, Eun-woo started out as a member of Astro, which was hailed by Billboard as one of 2016’s best new K-pop groups.

He also starred in such web series as “Sweet Revenge” and “Top Management,” and had a cameo role in the film “My Brilliant Life.”

Eun-woo shot to stardom, however, after bagging his first television lead role in the romantic comedy series, “My ID is Gangnam Beauty”—one of the highest-rated dramas in Korean cable television history.
He currently stars in the period romance-drama “Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung” on Netflix.

Newfound fame

Despite his newfound fame, Eun-woo—whose real name is Lee Dong-min—keeps his feet on the ground.

“When I was little, my mother would post little notes at places like the bedside or next to the phone. The notes will read, ‘learn to be thankful,’ and ‘look back on your actions,’” he related in a 2018 interview with GQ Korea—a translated version of which was posted on Hellokpop.com
