Lolit Solis on Gerald-Bea split: ‘Ok lang iyon ghosting’

/ 01:22 PM July 31, 2019

Lolit Solis aired her opinion recently on the reported breakup between Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo, amid Anderson’s rumored cheating involving Julia Barretto.

The vocal talent manager finds the issues surrounding the former couple and Barretto, who Anderson supposedly left Alonzo for, funny, since all three of them are supposedly single.

“Ok lang iyon ghosting, sulutan, palitan, kasi wala pa naman permanent commitment na naganap, like hindi pa kasal sila Gerald at Bea,” she said via Instagram yesterday, July 30.

(Those ghosting, cheating, changing of partners are okay since there are no permanent commitments yet, like Gerald and Bea are not yet married.)

She added that there is a lesson to be learned from what happened between the couple — that one should be protective of their boyfriend and should clear up any issue between them immediately.

She also observed that the actors’ lives are like a real life telenovela, where Barretto plays the villain, Alonzo is the victim and Anderson is a two-timer.

Solis’ opinion came days after Alonzo revealed that Anderson had never formally broken up with her, and instead just stopped talking to her. Alonzo made the statement when interviewed by showbiz reporters during a story conference for an upcoming project.

Speculations have it that Anderson cheated on Alonzo with Barretto. Anderson and Barretto were co-stars in the movie “Between Maybes”.

After drawing flak for her statement, Solis further explained her view on the issue in another Instagram post today, July 31.

“Violent naman ang mga comment ng iba na para daw OK sa akin iyon cheating at tanggap ko na may nasasaktan tao. Kalokah,” she said.

(The comments are violent, saying that I find cheating okay and that I accept that there are people who get hurt. Crazy.)

She cited her age as a possible reason as to why she has a different take on issues like these.

Solis explained that Alonzo might have been prepared for the break-up and supposed cheating of Anderson since it was the second time he has allegedly cheated on her. Rumors about the two splitting also surfaced last year, but Alonzo revealed in October 2018 that she had given Anderson another chance.

Meanwhile, Solis said Barretto knew the risk of getting linked to Anderson: “Kung sakali at gawin sa kanya ni Gerald dapat handa din puso niya sa sakit, at wala din siyang assurance na maiiba ang trato sa kanya dahil para na ngang pattern na para kay Gerald ang basta na lang mang iwan ng karelasyon niya.”

(If Anderson does leave her, her heart should be ready for the pain, and there is no assurance that he will treat her differently since it seems like it is a pattern for Anderson to just leave his partner.)

“Si Gerald siguro nasa utak niya, puso ko ito, kung saan liligaya duon ako, saka baka ganuon din siya noon una kay Bea, basta na lang siya nawala,” she said.

(Gerald must have thought, ‘this is my heart,’ I will go with whoever makes me happy. This might also be how he was with Bea, why he just left her.)

Despite her lengthy take on the issue, Solis said that ultimately, everything is up to these celebrities, and that everyone else just has an opinion on it. She also reminded her followers that they should not set standards for others, as they are responsible for themselves — not for others. JB
