Celebrity couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes recently welcomed their son Jose Sixto “Ziggy” Dantes IV to the Christian world.
Rivera took to social media to express her delight at Ziggy’s baptism, which was held at the St. Alphonsus Mary de Liguori Parish in Magallanes Village, Makati City, and which saw the likes of celebrities Richard Gutierrez, Sid Maderazo and Kim Atienza, among others, in attendance.
“Welcome to the Christian World mahal ko (my love),” Rivera said via Instagram on July 29. “Te quiero mucho Mi Hijo! #SalamatAmaSaBiyayaAtPagpapala.”
Maderazo shared in a heartwarming post on Instagram that he was chosen by Rivera and Dantes as one of Ziggy’s godparents or “back up” dads.
“I’ll be here to guide and help you, and to be a good example,” Maderazo said, addressing Ziggy. “Congratulations on your Baptism. This particular day marks the start of your spiritual journey. May it bring lasting peace and joy to your life! @dongdantes @marianrivera #josesixtodantesiv.”
Atienza also took to his Instagram account to share a video clip of baby Ziggy being baptized.
“May the Lord continue to shine His face on you baby Sixto!” he said. “Welcome to the Christian world!”
Rivera and Dantes tied the knot in a grand wedding ceremony at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Cubao, Quezon City, in December 2014. They welcomed their first child Zia in November 2015 and then baby Ziggy just last April. /ra
