‘Gold digger’? Heaven Peralejo addresses rumors of receiving money from Pacquiaos

Heaven Peralejo put to rest rumors about her, especially after being linked to the Pacquiaos due to her relationship with boxing champion Manny Pacquiao’s eldest son, Jimuel.
The “Pinoy Big Brother” alum posted a YouTube vlog on Friday, July 19, featuring her best friend Jean Lacsamana and mom, Shiela Luanne Peralejo, to dispel assumptions about her.
One of the questions asked was how much money she had received from the Pacquiaos. The 19-year-old said she did not know where that rumor came from.
“I mean, I don’t get money from him. OK, I have work,” she said. “Hindi ko naman siya tatay para kunan ng pera (He is not my dad from whom I should get money).”
Her mom defended her answer: “Kapag nagboyfriend kayo, kuha kayo ng pera sa boyfriend n’yo? Nagdadrugs ba kayo? Hello?” (When you get a boyfriend, do you ask money from him? Do you do drugs? Hello?)
Another assumption about her was that she is a “gold digger.”
Lacsamana wondered, “Bakit ka pa magtatrabaho sa sarili mo if yun din naman ang gusto mong gawin (Why would you still work if that is what you want to do)?”
“And also kasi gusto ko ring makatulong kay Mom. Hindi ko alam kung paano mo nakuha ang assumption na iyan. Maybe because sa ex ko. Ah!” Peralejo said, covering her mouth.
(And also I want to help Mom. I do not know how you got that assumption. Maybe because of my ex.)
Although the actress did not name the ex, there are speculations that she and Jimuel, 18, have split, after news that they unfollowed each other on Instagram. They confirmed their relationship in March. /ra
