Jimuel Pacquiao: No to show biz
For now, 18-year-old Jimuel Pacquiao has no plan or interest in entering show biz.
“My mom (Jinkee) has been getting inquiries. But I’m focused on boxing at the moment—the training is time-consuming,” Jimuel said. “But I’m not closing my doors. If there’s a chance in the future, perhaps I can give it a try.”
Jimuel would rather be a professional boxer like his father, Sen. Manny Pacquiao.
“I’m not trying to equal, much less surpass what my father has achieved. I just love the sport (boxing) itself,” he told reporters at his recent launch as the newest endorser of the clothing brand BNY.
Jimuel is looking forward to being the face of BNY’s “athleisure” apparel, because his girlfriend, Star Magic talent Heaven Peralejo, is also one of the brand’s endorsers.

I talked to her parents and grandparents on both sides,” related Jimuel, who defended Heaven from bashers accusing her of being a gold digger.
“They don’t know who she really is, but I do. There’s no way [she’s that kind of person],” he said. “She’s very supportive of me.” —ALLAN POLICARPIO
