LOOK: Regine Velasquez, Sharon Cuneta gear up for concert together

“Asia’s Songbird” Regine Velasquez and “Megastar” Sharon Cuneta have begun preparing for their upcoming concert together this October.

Cuneta broke the news of their collaboration after a production meeting, as seen in photos she posted on Instagram last Monday, July 15.

“Production meeting for Regine’s and my concerts! Yippee!!! I’ve had just projects and I’ve had passion projects. But this is a project from and for my heart! It’s a love project because I love Regine!!” Cuneta said.

Velasquez also took to social media to express her excitement over the upcoming project.

“Parang nanaginip ako (It’s like I’m dreaming). But this is actually happening!!!!!!! a concert with my ultimate idol. My icon my Mega. Soon,” Velasquez said. 

News of the collaboration earned praises from the two stars’ fellow celebrities including Velasquez’s husband, Ogie Alcasid, Yeng Constantino, Moira Dela Torre and Darla Sauler.

Velasquez and Cuneta first hinted at the collaboration in June.

This is not the first time Velasquez and Cuneta will be sharing the stage together. Cuneta previously guested on Velasquez’s concert last November, where they sang two of Cuneta’s classic hits, “Bituing Walang Ningning” and “Pangarap na Bituin.”  /ra
