Run free, doggo: Stewart the Corgi who played Cheddar in ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ has died

It’s a sad day for Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans as Stewart the Corgi, also known as Captain Raymond Holt’s beloved pet Cheddar, has passed away on Thursday, July 11.

Stewart’s real life pet owner posted on Instagram about the beloved canine’s passing.

The owner recounted that Stewart spent his final moments at the beach, “frolicking in the surf” and enjoying a picnic of In-N-Out burgers.

His pet parents added that Stewart died peacefully in his sleep listening, to the sounds of the ocean.

Fans of the hit NBC comedy show took on social media to express their grief over Cheddar’s passing.
