MANILA, Philippines — Actor-athlete Matteo Guidicelli has described the respect given by President Rodrigo Duterte for men and women in uniform as “beyond words.”
In a Facebook post on Thursday, Guidicelli shared photos of him welcoming the President during his visit to Camp Navarro General Hospital in Zamboanga City.
“I had the honor and privilege of accompanying The Commanding General of the Philippine Army LT Gen Alberto to visit our troops in Jolo, Sulu,” Guidicelli wrote.
During the President’s visit to Zamboanga on Wednesday, he honored 12 wounded soldiers and two casualties in the twin explosions that rocked Indanan, Sulu last June 28.
