Paulo Avelino stars as himself in the movie “Fan Girl” by Antoinette Jadaone, which the writer and director says is no romantic comedy.

“Fan Girl” details a teenage fan who meets her celebrity idol and gets to know him in a different light. Jadaone shared a picture from the set on Sunday, June 30.

For instance, the actor shared a picture of his new look with long black hair—a change from his boyish haircuts.

When asked how he maintains his hair, he said, “Wag mo lang paggupitan (Just don’t cut it).”

Avelino did not also hold himself back as he became flirty with fans online, allowing them to imagine what he would be like as their boyfriend.

“How do you like me este (I mean) your coffee?” asked a fan. “BOLD,” he replied.

“Be naughty with me,” offered one fan. “Bilang ano? Boypren mo? Asawa mo? Laruan mo (As what? Your boyfriend? Husband? Boy toy)?” he asked.

On his preference for sunrises or sunsets, he said, “Sunset. Late na kasi tayo nagigising (It’s because we wake up late).”

When a fan offered to fan him during tapings, he said, “Wag. Nangyayakap ako pag mainit (Don’t. I hug when it is hot).”

Another fan went as far as to ask him to step on her, but he had another suggestion. “Di ba kita pwedeng halikan nalang kesa tapakan (Can’t I just kiss you, instead of stepping on you)?!”

He also had some “hugot” (emotional) lines, like when he was asked about his favorite electric fan setting. “[Zero] dahil pagod na pagod na ako sa mga paikot ikot (Zero because I am tired of going in circles),” he replied.

The “Goyo” star proved that he still had a humble side despite his heartthrob status. Asked how he is able to charm all women, he said, “Parang hindi ko naman naramdaman yun (I don’t feel that way).”

Another fan said she was told by his former driver that he was kind and charming. “Isang training ko [sa kanila] ang maging sinungaling. Mukhang effective (I trained them to lie. It seems it was effective),” he wrote.

Sadly for the fans, Avelino has not been single for a while, having model Jodie Tarasek as his girlfriend. A release date for “Fan Girl” has yet to be announced.  /ra
