Teresa Loyzaga assures son Diego’s showbiz comeback
MANILA, Philippines — Actor Diego Loyzaga will soon return to showbiz, his mother Teresa Loyzaga has announced.
Teresa said many have been asking Diego to attend events and expressed thanks to people who have shown support to her son.
“Ang daming tumatawag sa amin nagpapa-schedule. Ang daming humihingi na mag-attend si Diego. Ayaw namin kayong i-let down. Soon we will be able to give you a date and we will be able to say yes,” Teresa said over an interview with “Magandang Buhay” aired Monday.
“Right now let’s wait in happy anticipation. Again, thank you dahil ‘yung suporta po niyo ay napakalaking tulong sa amin,” she added.
The actress also promised that when the time comes for Diego to return, it will be “happy” again.
“I promise you the day will come when he returns, hindi namin kayo bibitinin. Hindi namin kayo pagsu-suwapangan ng panahon, oras at talento. Babalik siya. At pagdating ng araw na ‘yon, happy na again,” Teresa said.
In November last year, speculations about Diego attempting suicide surfaced online. But his family and the management ABS-CBN did not release a statement denying or confirming the allegations.
Teresa also talked about depression and how to deal with it by opening up with family members.
“Parang napansin ko lang sa society natin, hindi masyadong napag-uusapan ang depression. At the more na hindi natin ito pinag-uusapan, the more hindi natin ito maiintindihan,” Teresa said.
“Alam mo, you deal it one step at a time. You reach out, humingi kayo ng tulong. Ang maganda diyan kung mayroon kayong good family support, ‘yung ipaalam mo sa miyembro ng pamilya mo,” she advised.
